Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto Thee, and will look up.
Yet the Lord will command His loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice. He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
But verily God hath heard me; He hath attended to the voice of my prayer. Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor His mercy from me.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord: but the prayer of the upright is His delight. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
Therefore, I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when you stand praying, forgive if you ought against any that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father which in heaven forgive your trespasses.
Likewise, the spirit also helpeth our infirmities for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered and He that searches the heart knoweth what is the mind of the spirit because He maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
And when thou prayest thou shall not be as the hypocrites are for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the street that they may be seen of men.
Verily I say unto you they have their reward but thou when thou prayest enter unto thy closet and when thou has shut thy door pray to thy Father which is in secret and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly but when ye pray use not vain repetitions as the heathen do; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking being ye not like unto them for your Father knoweth what things you have need of before ye ask Him.
After this manner therefore pray ye, our Father which art in heaven hallowed be Thy name Thy kingdom come Thy will be done in Earth as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the kingdom and power and the glory forever, amen.
